Finish lead times are 8 -12 weeks.**(See our ‘Lead Times’ page) TruGrain™ is a new finish technique we are offering. The body is not grain filled, so it allows us to spray the finish thinner. This process removes a few ounces of weight, gives the body more resonance, shows off the beautiful wood grain patterns under the finish and looks super cool!

Body Binding

We offer Top binding or Top and Back (Double Bound). Binding costs more on a body getting a finish, Due to the extra labor and materials involved in taping and scraping. Please keep in mind that if you choose body binding on a body style that normally has contours (forearm/tummy cut), these contours will be omitted.

Description

Based on the 1965 style, the “Stang” style guitar body shape was cloned from an original ’65 that came into our shop.  This classic short scale guitar body would make an excellent replacement for any Stang style guitar, vintage or modern.  If you are seeking a build, the Stang style is moderately easy to assemble.

These guitars have been a staple of rock n’ roll music since its inception.  From surf players to famous modern rock musicians like Kurt Cobain, the Stang style has graced the shoulders of some of rock music’s greatest players.
