A ’62 Clone. Our J-Style basses,are built to traditional specs.

If you are looking for a standard spec item, and want to skip the wait, we encourage you to check our “Get it Now” store before ordering.  We might already have what you are looking for in-stock and ready-to-ship.

Lead times:

Our J-Style Basses are cut to order by hand on a pin router, as we do not have CNC programming developed yet. So please allow a little additional time (compared to our other offerings) for us to craft your body.

Unfinished = 4-6 weeks.

Finished = 16-20 weeks.

Are you intending to put a solid or translucent finish on this body?

Hardwood Inserts? (PAULOWNIA BODIES ONLY!)

We HIGHLY recommend that all Paulownia bodies have inlayed hardwood inserts (maple or birch) in high stress areas such as the bridge, tremolo claw, etc. Would you like us to install these inserts for you?

Uni-Rout?

Do you want this guitar body to have a universal rout? If so, ignore the next 3 entries about pickup routs.

Neck Pickup Rout?

What pickup rout would you like in the neck position?

Middle Pickup Rout?

What pickup rout would you like in the middle position?

Bridge Pickup Rout?

What pickup rout would you like in the bridge position?

Finish Type?

**Finish lead times are 16-20 weeks.** TruGrain is a new finish technique we are offering. The body is not grain filled, so it allows us to spray the finish thinner. This process removes a few ounces of weight, gives the body more resonance, shows off the beautiful wood grain patterns under the finish and looks super cool!

Finish Color?

Degree of Relic?

For finished bodies only! Please view our galleries – the link is at the top of the page – for examples of each level of relic.

Body Binding

We offer Top binding or Top and Back (Double Bound). Binding costs more on a body getting a finish, Due to the extra labor and materials involved in taping and scraping. Please keep in mind that if you choose body binding on a body style that normally has contours (forearm/tummy cut), these contours will be omitted.
