In nearly twenty years of business, we have really perfected what we believe to be the ideal electric guitar neck. We modeled our guitar neck shapes and specifications after the hundreds of vintage instruments we have had pass through the shop over the years. In the past decade plus, Guitar Mill necks have become the best replacement guitar necks available. Here are a few reasons why our guitar neck is\u00a0better than the rest:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Premium quality seasoned tonewoods<\/li>
  • High-grade truss rods — double welded ends\u00a0&\u00a0serrated anchors<\/li>
  • Vintage correct truss rod nut placement. The nut sits higher up; closer to the fingerboard for better access & look.<\/li>
  • Truss rod channels routed with a ball\/round nose bit\u00a0—\u00a0the rod sits perfectly in the round-bottomed channel.<\/li>
  • Vintage-correct “Skunk Stripe” size<\/li>
  • Micro precision bit\u00a0CNC fret slots\u00a0that follow the corresponding fingerboard radius.<\/li>
  • Jescar Fretwire \u2013 the absolute finest available.<\/li>
  • Each fret hand-pressed in to seat perfectly in each curved slot.<\/li>
  • 2 Pc. Neck side dots are correctly placed \u201c50\/50\u2033<\/li>
  • ‘Clay’ dots that look and feel genuinely vintage<\/li>
  • A slight amount of \u201cfall away\u201d is added in each fingerboard below the 12th fret. Hardly visible but very noticeable when playing – prevents large bends from “fretting out.”<\/li>
  • We carefully \u201croll\u201d the fingerboard edges so that they are smooth, soft and comfortably conform to your hand.<\/li>
  • Our frets are masterfully leveled, crowned, beveled with soft rounded ends, and then individually dressed and polished – the neck\/frets are ready to go.<\/li>
  • We go the extra mile and painstakingly scrape and re-polish each fret on maple fingerboards that are sprayed with a finish.<\/li>
